New snow overlies yesterdays surface hoar and facets, and previous settling storm snow. 80 cm storm snow overlies the Jan 12 widespread surface hoar, and a rime crust open areas treeline and alpine. This layer has not been reactive in recent test profiles (Merlot, Chicken Knob, Crystal Vision).

No new avalanches yesterday. Small skier triggered sluffs in steep terrain.

Great skiing yesterday - Balfin Bowl, Baldurzone, Beyond Chicken Knob, C’est Bon, and Twighlight Zone.
