We live in the snow belt. The Monashee Mountains are first in line when weather systems roll in. Up here, it falls as snow. We call them powder kegs. Blower does not have a season, it’s a state of being.

Aaron and Sabine met in the BC Monashee Mountains. As Aaron tells it, Sabine was an easy catch - she had a broken ankle. Both working in the forest industry, they discovered a shared love of wilderness, adventure and solitude. The rest is this unfolding story - Sabine, Aaron, Josee and Seth, in their flow state, sharing backcountry days with others. Comfort and seclusion make good partners.

Adventures at Sol Mountain Lodge can include activities that at times may have a higher element of risk. Once you venture into the backcountry you are entering an uncontrolled environment. At Sol Mountain Lodge we do our utmost to allow you to enjoy an exhilarating yet safe experience.

Guided trips are led by highly trained and professionally certified members of the Association of Canadian Mountain Guides. Safety always comes first, Sol Mountain Lodge strives to ensure it is a key component of any backcountry experience.

In order to help you be aware of the level of risk associated with the specific backcountry activity you are participating in, we encourage you to review the “Assumption of Risks” portion on the Sol Mountain Lodge Waiver. This will allow you to be prepared, have peace of mind and make your trip as memorable as possible.
