-5.0 degr C,  Overcast, Calm winds.  5 cm new snow.  Snow Depth 224 cm.

New snow overlies well developed surface hoar out there treeline and below - surface hoar overlies sun crust on steep solar aspects.  25-30 cm settled storm snow overlies a layer of small surface hoar and facets buried Dec 27.  80 - 100 cm of settled storm snow overlies the December 15 layer of surface hoar, facets, and sun crust - bonding well except on lower slope features where surface hoar is more preserved.

No new avalanches yesterday.
